After reviewing my unit 3 personal assessment of my psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being I cannot honestly say I have improved significantly anywhere over this course. Previously I scored physical at 7, spiritual at 7, and psychological at 9. Now, I would leave both physical and spiritual where they are at 7, but psychological would definitely reach a 10. I can honestly say that I have worked on loving-kindness, patience, and gratefulness a great deal over the course. The only activity I have incorporated was to reduce unnecessary activities to replace with more relax time, meditation, and creativity. The others such as jogging, boxing, prayer, and Bible reading were here and there if that. This course has been rewarding because it has showed me that we all go through the same types of problems, but we all can overcome them by helping each other. I can do my part to help others as a health and wellness professional by first attending to and improving my own well being and then using what I've learned from to guide others on their journey to integral health. Although the meditative exercises were always a challenge, I have found myself making more contemplative quiet time to control the thoughts of my mind and creating a more pleasant psychological atmosphere.
Be Blessed!
Felix you are so right, I definitely feel like we have been given some great tools to use on ourselves so that we can live a life of integral health, but to also be an example and share this information will truly be a blessing. Good luck to you in your endeavors. Blessings

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your summary. It is certainly nice to learn along with everyone else and know that many of us share similar struggles. It is also interesting to see what tools and methods are used by each person to deal with the struggles. My greatest take away was the importance of me improving my wellbeing in all aspects so that I can be a great example to others. As you mentioned, this will also position us all to be of greater support to others who need guidance in some part of their journey. Congratulations on your psychological improvements. The six weeks between unit 3 and 10 is not a lot of time to really truly make a big difference in any of the three areas. Though you may not have implemented all activities regularly, neither did I, anything is better than nothing. Now that you have reduced unnecessary activities and added more relax time, maybe you can tackle another one of your activities and fit it in. I wish you the best on your continued journey.
Felix,
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you improved yourself even if it was a little bit. I believe that a live of true integral health takes time, just like working out, to improve a lot. If you still with it over time you will see and feel the difference it has made in your life.
I also think it's wonderful that you feel you need to make yourself a better person before you can help others. I think that is an important part of life most of us do not even think about.
Good luck to you and your future. Hope you gain what you are trying to get.

Hello Felix,
ReplyDeleteI love your post! I definitely agree we all have different experiences or problems that maybe a connection with a group or individual can help see you through. It is an important lesson to learn that we are not alone in problems that we experience whether they are good or bad. The practices that we experienced in class are great for incorporating ways to find inner peace and calmness within ourselves and others. This class definitely had a great effect on how I perceive and view myself as an healthy well rounded individual. Good luck to you on your future endeavors!
